Northwest China's Mega-Scale! Recycling Base for Retired Lithium Battery Energy Storage Systems Nears Operation
On October 3, WUHAN RIKOMAY NEW ENERGY CO., LTD. signed an agreement with Gansu Chenyue Yuchen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Gulang County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province. This signing marks the official entry of WUHAN RIKOMAY NEW ENERGY CO., LTD. into the Northwest China lithium battery recycling market through a novel cooperation model. Both parties will join hands to create a closed-loop industrial chain for lithium battery recycling and energy storage projects, promoting low-carbon, environmentally friendly, and sustainable development of the new energy industry in Northwest China.
Northwest China boasts abundant wind, solar, and energy storage resources. Currently, the installed capacity of new energy storage in the region has exceeded 14.3 GWh, with a large number of lithium battery energy storage systems in operation. This rapid growth trend is expected to continue in the coming years. Therefore, establishing a full-lifecycle operation management and green retirement recycling system is of utmost urgency.
In the field of lithium battery energy storage system recycling, RIKOMAY has built a comprehensive industrial chain covering "recycling, cascade utilization, and remanufacturing." Through digital and information platforms, it enables intelligent management of battery packs, achieving coordinated operations from battery pack information tracking to smart factory production.
RIKOMAY leverages its unique full dry-process short-flow direct regeneration technology to provide green and efficient solutions for lithium battery energy storage system recycling. The full dry-process technology produces no waste liquid, exhaust gas, or solid waste during production. It directly recovers and regenerates lithium iron phosphate materials attached to battery electrodes, achieving a comprehensive resource recovery rate of over 99% and reducing overall carbon emissions by more than 50%. This effectively transforms waste batteries into key battery materials for green remanufacturing, contributing to both economic and ecological benefits in Northwest China.
This recycling center is a critical component of RIKOMAY's "1+5+Island" national recycling network and a practical achievement of its mutually beneficial cooperation model with resource partners. RIKOMAY will fully leverage the abundant energy storage resources in Northwest China and rely on its unique technological advantages to actively explore green recycling and high-value regeneration of lithium battery energy storage systems in the region, contributing to the global adoption of clean energy!
