Recently, Stanford University in the United States released the 7th edition of the 2024 Global Top 2% Scientists List, and Professor Cao Yuancheng was once again selected for the "Lifetime Science Influence Ranking", with an increase of 239 places compared to last year.
The "Top 2% Global Scientists List" is divided into two rankings: the "Lifetime Science Influence Ranking (1960-2024)" is a comprehensive ranking of the impact performance of statistical scientists during their careers, and the "2024 Science Influence Ranking" is a ranking of the academic influence of statistical scientists in the previous year. The ranking is based on a comprehensive evaluation of six key factor indicators, selecting the top 2% of scientists in each discipline.
This year, 10687 scientists from Chinese Mainland were selected, accounting for 4.92%. Professor Cao Yuancheng's domestic ranking this year has increased by 239 places compared to 2023, and his global ranking has increased by 2.2% percentage points, indicating that his research field and direction have gained industry recognition, and his social influence is continuously increasing.
