Detection aspect
It is divided into two parts: package level detection and cabin level detection.
Package level detection: Based on the technical characteristics of liquid cooled battery packs and the goal of cost reduction and efficiency improvement, a temperature sensing and CO composite fire detector is installed inside the battery pack to detect the temperature and carbon monoxide index parameters in advance. It is also connected to the fire alarm controller in the cabin through CAN bus communication.
Cabin level detection: Install four composite fire detectors (five in one - hydrogen, carbon monoxide, VOC gas, smoke temperature) at the top of the energy storage battery compartment, and connect them to the fire alarm controller inside the compartment through CAN bus communication.
Fire extinguishing aspect
The electrochemical energy storage compartment fire suppression system adopts an electrochemical energy storage compartment fire suppression device, which uses perfluorohexane fire extinguishing medium. At the same time, an independent water spray fire extinguishing system is set up with the fire water source as the fire extinguishing medium. In the early stage, perfluorohexane is used to accurately suppress the circulation point of the thermal runaway battery pack. In addition, the entire compartment can be fully submerged according to the predetermined logic to prevent the spread and diffusion of thermal runaway, and the water spray continues to cool down in the later stage.
